White Center Yard Maintenance — Organic Fertilizer Program
Homeowner’s Issue
White Center yards face a distinct set of challenges: heavy winter rainfall, compacted loamy-clay soils, persistent moss in shady corners, and invasive ivy along property edges. Many homes sit on small slopes that need thoughtful drainage work to keep run-off from pooling near foundations and sidewalks. Sun exposure varies block-to-block — south-facing strips dry out fast in summer while north-side lawns stay thin and mossy. Weeds like dandelion, chickweed, and bindweed take advantage of thin turf and disturbed soil. HOA guidelines and curb appearance matter here, especially near Roxhill Park and the roads toward West Seattle and Burien.
For Yard Maintenance in this climate we prioritize improving soil biology and structure with organic inputs rather than quick chemical fixes. That means aeration where compaction is an issue, organic fertilizer timed for root growth, and mulch to keep moisture steady. Sustainable care reduces mowing frequency, improves drought resilience, and lowers long-term weed pressure while keeping yards safe for kids and pets.
Our Quality Service
We start with a simple, local assessment of your soil, slope, and sun patterns. Soil testing and a walk-around tell us where organic fertilizer, aeration, or mulching will have the biggest impact.
Work is done using sustainable methods only — no herbicides. We blend granular and slow-release organic fertilizers, pair them with aeration or overseeding where needed, and recommend mulch or drip adjustments for drainage on slopes. Benefits include safer outdoor spaces, stronger turf that outcompetes weeds, improved curb appeal, and lower maintenance over the season.

Before & After / Expectations
Expect some noise from equipment and organic debris during service days. We’ll need clear access to beds and lawn areas; please move toys or obstructions ahead of our visit. Typical turnaround for a single visit is 2–4 hours for an average yard; larger jobs or added aeration may extend that.
After service, lawns will green up over 2–6 weeks depending on weather. Care tips: water new seed lightly, raise mower height to 3–3.5” to shade soil, hand-pull ivy and persistent weeds, rake moss in spring and thin shade-tolerant patches. Avoid fertilizers before heavy rain — we time visits to minimize runoff.
